Admission to Walton

We are delighted that you have shown an interest in Walton. We pride ourselves on being a high performing academy where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Our academy is popular and each year we receive high volumes of applications. We recommend that you visit the academy on one of our open evenings or by taking a personal tour to discover more about life in the academy and our learning environment.

Key dates

The application process for year 7 entry in September 2025 opens on 6 September 2024 and closes on 31 October 2024, with offers made to families in March 2025. Any exceptional late applications and changes to preference must be received by the local authority by 12 noon on 13 December 2024.

The application process re-opens on 3 March 2025 for late applications and changes. Any late or revised applications must be submitted via Lincolnshire County Council on or before 24 March 2025. For information about how to appeal, please click here.

Open days at Walton are held in June each year for prospective students and their parents and carers. Dates and times will be advertised on our website and on our social media channels.

If you are considering Walton Academy for admission in September 2025 and you missed our summer open evening or want another look around, we invite pupils and their parents and carers to join us for one of our talk and tour events.
