We are looking forward to meeting you and hope the information below will be helpful as your child prepares for the move to secondary education.

To help make the transition process as smooth as possible, we have included all the required pastoral forms in your child’s transition pack. These packs will be distributed over the next few weeks when our leadership team visit primary schools.
We kindly ask parents and carers to complete all pastoral forms and bring them to the parent meeting on Monday 29 June 2026, where they will be collected on arrival. If you experience any difficulties completing the forms, please contact the academy for support.
Our three-day transition programme will take place from Tuesday 30 June to Thursday 2 July 2026.
We run an active programme of events for primary school students to enable them to experience life in a secondary school setting and take part in masterclasses across some of our specialist subject areas.
These events are available to pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 and can be booked by parents or primary schools.
Our curriculum enrichment days are unique to Walton Academy and give Year 5 pupils the opportunity to spend the day experiencing a range of subjects in a secondary school setting. All local feeder primary schools are invited to take part.
