On Tuesday 7 October, Walton Post 16 year 13 Arts Award Gold students took to the stage for their highly anticipated Arts Alive showcase in the Walton Theatre. The evening was a wonderful celebration of creativity, featuring a range of performances and visual art forms that highlighted the talent, dedication, and professionalism of our students.
The year 13 students were supported by their year 12 peers, who took charge of the technical aspects of the production, ensuring that lighting, sound, and stage management all ran seamlessly. Together, they created an engaging and polished event that reflected the collaborative spirit of the arts at Walton Academy.
Throughout the evening, the audience enjoyed an impressive variety of performances as students showcased their first and second chosen art forms. From singing, acting, and playing in a band, to a live watercolour painting demonstration, the breadth of creativity on display was truly inspiring.
Every element of the showcase – from planning and rehearsals to performance and presentation – was organised by the students themselves. Their professionalism and passion were evident throughout the night, making Arts Alive a memorable celebration of artistic achievement.
We would like to thank everyone who supported the event, and to Mr Slepowronski and Mr Bridge for their guidance and encouragement throughout the students’ Arts Award Gold journey.
