From Monday 23 May to Wednesday 25 May year 10 GCSE Photography students enjoyed darkroom and traditional printing taster days at Walton. They made the most of the amazing traditional facilities we have at Walton, which normally are only available to A-level students.

Students spent the day exploring a range of printing techniques in the darkroom including cross process, photo-grams, double exposure and drip/splatter/paint development. They then explored applying colour to black and white prints with inks and toners, as well as creating some truly beautiful cyanotype sunprints. The workshops will support their photography coursework and also give the students a taste of what they could do if they selected A-level Photography.
