Post 16 art, photography, and food science and nutrition students took part in a joint trip to Lincoln, with each group following a programme designed to support their subject specialism and future pathways.

Art and photography students began the day at Lincoln College, where they took part in a talk and tour of the art facilities, gaining insight into creative study at the next level. The afternoon was spent at the Usher Gallery, exploring professional exhibitions and gathering visual inspiration to inform their own work.

At the same time, food science and nutrition students visited STACK to explore a variety of street food concepts and cuisines, before finishing the day at Sessions Restaurant, a working college restaurant run by Level 3 hospitality students. With upcoming coursework focused on planning a menu for a college restaurant, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to see menu design, organisation and service delivery in action.

Experiences like this help Post 16 students connect classroom learning with real-world contexts, supporting informed decisions about further study, coursework development and future careers.
