Would you like to help shape the future of education in your community?

Walton Academy is currently recruiting for a parent governor vacancy and inviting parents and carers to join our Local Academy Committee.

Parent governors bring valuable perspectives, experiences and ideas that help support the academy and ensure the best possible outcomes for students. You do not need experience in education or governance to apply. We are looking for people who care about young people, can work as part of a team and want to make a positive contribution to the academy community.

You’ll be joining a supportive and welcoming team, with training and guidance provided throughout your journey as a governor.

What does a parent governor do?

A parent governor helps provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge while supporting the academy’s work in areas such as educational standards, SEND, safeguarding and stakeholder engagement.

As a parent governor, you will have the opportunity to contribute to important discussions and help shape the future direction of Walton Academy.
