Walton Academy 3 – West Grantham Academy 0

On Wednesday 17 April, Walton Academy’s year 7 football team continued their winning streak with a hard-fought home victory over West Grantham Academy. The match showcased a blend of exciting talent and teamwork, as well as impressive individual performances.

The game began with both teams testing each other, with chances limited in the first half. Alfie came close with a long-range effort for Walton. After halftime, tactical adjustments by Mr Musson proved pivotal as Walton started to dominate proceedings.

Despite standout defensive performances from Sonny and Connor at the back, Jacob’s goal haul rightfully earned him the title of Player of the Match. Additionally, it was a memorable occasion for Leo, Connor, Ollie, Dylan, and Jacob, who made their impressive debuts for Walton Academy.

Congratulations to the entire year 7 squad for their remarkable 3-0 victory over West Grantham Academy and commendable team spirit. The coaching staff’s strategic changes and the players’ dedication ensured another memorable match for Walton Academy.
