We are proud to introduce two of our Walton Post 16 students, Austin and Marissa, who take on the iconic roles of Mr and Mrs Wormwood in Matilda The Musical Jr.
Stepping into the shoes of two of Roald Dahl’s most outrageous adult characters, Austin and Marissa bring energy, confidence and stage presence to their performances. The Wormwoods may be greedy, self-absorbed and obsessed with appearances, but they are also some of the show’s most memorable roles – and these two students are embracing every moment.
Austin describes Mr Wormwood as “greedy and cruel,” and is particularly looking forward to seeing the audience reaction to some of the production’s standout scenes.
Marissa is excited about “bringing Mrs Wormwood to life,” fully embracing her bold, fiery and larger-than-life personality on stage.
As members of Walton Post 16, Austin and Marissa balance their academic studies with rehearsals and performance commitments – demonstrating dedication, creativity and confidence beyond the classroom. With a wealth of performance experience between them, audiences can expect a dynamic and entertaining portrayal.
Catch Austin and Marissa – and the rest of the cast – live on stage in this joyful, high-energy production. Tickets are available now from the Walton Theatre Ticket Shop – book yours today for a memorable experience!
