To help make the transition process as smooth as possible, we have included all the required pastoral forms in your child’s transition pack. These packs will be distributed over the next few weeks when our leadership team visit primary schools.

We kindly ask parents and carers to complete all pastoral forms and bring them to the parent meeting on Monday 29 June 2026, where they will be collected on arrival. If you experience any difficulties completing the forms, please contact the academy for support.

Our three-day transition programme will take place from Tuesday 30 June to Thursday 2 July 2026.

Introduction to ELSA emotional literacy support assistant

We run an active programme of events for primary school students to enable them to experience life in a secondary school setting and to take part in masterclasses to experience some of our specialist teaching areas on offer.

These events are on offer to all years 4, 5 and 6 pupils and can be booked by parents or by the primary school itself.

Our enrichment days are unique to Walton and allow year 5 students to spend the day at Walton to engage with curriculum areas within the classroom setting. All local feeder primary schools are invited to take part.
