Governors at Walton were successful in securing Governor Mark in 2018. This nationally recognised standard measures the effectiveness of governors and the work they do.
To be awarded this mark, there is an external evaluation of the quality of governance at an academy or school. The governing body has to evidence that it follows good procedures and fulfils statutory duties, and there is a high value placed on evidence of impact – the difference the governing body makes.
We are very proud to hold this mark, and believe that it demonstrates the commitment, passion, enthusiasm, support and engagement of our governors.
