Rachel Webb – Chair of Governors
I moved to the Grantham area in 2014 with my husband, two children and mother. I am a Threat and Risk Consultant in the security industry but have been involved with various stages of education throughout my career. I am in a challenging but greatly satisfying role at work and hope to bring that knowledge and experience to benefit the academy. I joined the governing body in February 2017 and look forward to exercising my desire to help young people realise potential while enjoying education. My hobbies include travel, fitness and family adventures.

Tiffany Boot
I have been teaching Modern Foreign Languages at Walton for a number of years following my initial appointment as a newly qualified teacher. I have a very active role in school as a head of house, which I very much enjoy, and have a strong understanding of the school’s culture and ethos. Being a staff governor allows to me to serve as a link between staff and governors.

Sarah Cooper
I currently work as Finance Director in a FTSE 250 construction group within their house building division and have previously worked in several senior finance roles within manufacturing and retail.  I have two children – my son attends the Kings School and my daughter attends Walton.  I live locally and was also educated at one of the comprehensive secondary schools in the area.  I genuinely believe that everyone can reach their full potential given the right support and through their own hard work and determination. I hope to use my experience of the different industries I have worked in along with my knowledge of the operations of the corporate world to help shape the preparation of our young people for successful and fulfilling long term employment.

Helen Ind
I was a secondary teacher of Modern Foreign Languages for 13 years, encompassing several roles including PGCE mentor and assistant learning mentor, before moving to Grantham in 2015. I now teach part-time in local primary and secondary schools as a supply teacher which enables me to spend more time with my family and walking my dog whilst still doing a job I love.  I have a passion for education and learning, particularly languages, and I believe in the importance of life-long learning.  As a governor, I enjoy working with such a dedicated, professional team to continue to improve the outcomes for the Walton students.

Nigel Parry
I have run several businesses and now help and mentor other business owners. I also have a passion for rugby, having played at a semi-professional level in my twenties, and am a grand patron of several charities.

Nathan Smith
For many years I have worked for the Rugby Football Union, the governing body for rugby in England. I am part of the rugby development team in Lincolnshire with a diverse and varied work programme. A large part of my role is working in secondary education supporting staff and students in their development whilst also providing further opportunities for whole school development through our core values. Supporting 10 clubs requires me to be both innovative and forward thinking, skills I bring to my role of governor at Walton.

Matt Sumner
I am currently living in Grantham with my wife and two children.  I joined the RAF in 1998 and after completion of my basic training at RAF Halton I proceeded to the Defence School of Transport to begin my trade training as a MT Driver.  On completion of my trade training in October of the same year, I was posted to RAF Marham to begin my RAF career.
