On 1 April 2019, students across all year groups enjoyed another fantastic Life Skills Day here at Walton.

Students in years 7-11 took part in a range of topics including a ‘Super Physics’ competition, money smart sessions, top tips for motivation and making revising and studying easier with MAD4Life, a STEM challenge and a maths competition.

Year 10 students also had an opportunity to attend a ‘meet the employer’ session where they could get careers advice from a range of businesses across sectors. These included: the Nestlé Academy, LincHigher, NatWest, Totemic, Grantham College, Crafty Betty, Alice Flint Equine Touch Practitioner, WizeUp and Moy Park.

Post 16 students had inspiring sessions on resilience from the ‘Making Generation R’ campaign as well as learning about higher degree apprenticeships and preparing for uni.

A great day for all year groups – thank you to our careers lead, Mrs Etherington, for organising the event.
