On Monday 23 May 2022 to celebrate and commemorate the wonderful achievement of our Monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee we invited Chairman of South Kesteven District Council, Breda-Rae Griffin and our Chair of Governors, Rachel Webb to plant a beautiful Prunus Royal Burgundy tree. We hope the tree grows strong and tall over the coming years to remind us of this very special year.
The event was joined by students and staff and our fabulous catering team made some delicious cupcakes and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
The British values that Queen Elizabeth exemplifies is mirrored within the culture and curriculum at Walton – commitment, excellence, courage and ownership – and she continues to be a shining example to us all in dignity, humour and loyalty.
Long may she continue to reign.
