Throughout the summer term, students have been learning and practising a variety of athletics events. Students were then chosen to represent their house and competed against one another during our sports day on Thursday 13 July. The field events took place in the morning, with the track events taking place in the afternoon, with the whole school community, students, staff and parents in attendance.
A particular highlight of the afternoon was the fiercely contested staff relay, with Burghley staff winning gold! After a thrilling day with many standout individual performances, the final results are as follows:
4th place with 460 points was Burghley House, 3rd place with 475 points was Irnham House, 2nd place was Belton House with 500 points, but this year our sports day champions are BELVOIR House, with 640 points.
A huge well done to everyone who took part in events throughout the day, and thank you to the PE staff for their excellent co-ordination before and during sports day!
